Hi, I am trying to get this camera to give me images on my computer screen. I have to put some files in to my tools menu in arduino and have no idea how to do this. This is from an article called "simplified how to use OV7670 camera with Arduino". This article can be found with a google search.
ArduImageCapture.1.1.zip (1015.0 KB)
Above is the zip file which I have to put in Arduino tools according to the article.
How exactly can I do this? Can anybody give me the steps to do this in Windows 10. Thanks.
Hi Bob, I don't know how to post a link. If you put in that exact quote in google you will get the article. Isn't that just as easy as posting a link? I have not saved the article as sometimes you can't when there are a lot of ads and especially animated ones. When I want to review the article again I just go to google with that quote. As easy as that.
I am using the nano board. Looks like there is no easy way to add that zip file to tools in Arduino. You certainly can't use copy and paste. Pity when you get articles like this that they don't give more info to be able to use it.
Hi Bob, Having a go at posting the link here. May not work as the link is extensive. It would be easier for you to look up the google reference I gave.
Can't do it Bob. Keep getting wrong file type. File type given as microsoft edge.
Got it Bob. I just have to paste in the title. Now that you have the article presumably. My original question was how do I enter the camera into 'tools' on my arduino ide?
You can't simply paste to 'tools'. I tried this. I made a folder called 'Tools' and then put it in the arduino folder. The camera still does not appear in the proper tools folder as shown in the article. I have seen that you can add files to the "manage libraries" folder as there is an 'add' button here. No such button in the tools menu.
i tried to use it with an Arduino Due, i found only a page about, but doesn´t work, is way more dificult. I still have to try with the Arduino mega. And answering your question you can use tools in the classic arduino, but in the 2.0 version is literally impossible
