I am working on a project to integrate a Polar Heart Rate Monitor with an arduino. From what I have gathered from reading specs - the monitor newer "coded" monitors use a 2.4ghz signal (called W.I.N.D). Anyone know of a good place to start looking on ways to interface with this. I was thinking the obvious place to start would be with a hacked up wifi circuit and "tune" it to see if i could pick up the HRMs signal...
The old analogue HRMs from polar used to emit a 5khz FM signal at every beat -- though they were really affected by x-talk. These new "digital" ones seem to work in a different manner.
