Poor Appearance and usability of forum on mobile devices

Hi I am not sure to appeal here on this topic or not.

But I would like to appreciate that the Desktop sites are awesome and fully functionable.
But over mobile phone the sites some time lags and unresponsive also some features are not avalaible there Developers must improve mobile sit

I don't have a problem with mobile use; it might be the way I use it.

Please elaborate; which features are not there?

Note:
I think that this needs its own topic; I've flagged your post.

I have moved this discussion to a dedicated topic as suggested.

Like Features are some will tell once come on device but one thing which I came to remember is that the forum topics which are creating the appearance in mobile device is not as good in PC developers must work on appearance for mobile devices too.

Can you re-word that post please?
It's very hard to understand for English speakers.

(I use the forum almost exclusively on my phone at the moment, and haven't really noticed any problems)

Same here. I log in for a while in the morning from the cafe, on my phone. No problems here. I suggest contacting your phone service provider.

No I am not saying there is any problem in mobile devices and the lags which were there I solved it

I am saying for the appearance on the mobile devices is not as good on desktop.

Forum should build more great interface for mobile devices too

Android in portrait format:
When you you are reading in Using Arduino/Programming Question and you want to switch to another sub category you tab on the select box programming question, the keyboard opens and leaving space to see

and you have to scroll trough the list where you just see three entries at once.

@noiasca

Is this what you mean?

If so, the list at the left seems to contain the categories that had a new or updated topic.

If you tap the Categories (151 more), it takes you to the home page.

Arduino Forum is built on the free open source Discourse forum framework. The first thing to determine is whether a defect is in the Discourse framework itself or specific to the Arduino Forum. This information will allow reporting the defect to the people who are able to investigate and fix it.

Please check to see whether the faults you experience on Arduino Forum also occur on the try.discourse.org sandbox forum provided for testing of the Discourse framework:

  1. Open https://try.discourse.org/ in your browser.
  2. If a forum account is required to perform the actions that produce the fault, sign up for an account.
:exclamation: You can't use your Arduino Forum credentials to log in to try.discourse.org.
:exclamation: try.discourse.org is reset daily so even if you signed up for an account in the past, you will need to sign up again for this test.
  3. Perform whatever actions produce the fault here on Arduino Forum.

After doing that, please make a reply here to let me know whether you were able to reproduce the fault on try.discourse.org.

I start reading:

i would like to change the sub category, i tab on the arrow behind "Programming Questions"
the keypad appears

and now i have a list barley 3 entries long and a tiny scroll bar perfect for a feminine finger swipe...

Yes that's what I want to convey thanks for joining the discussion
Forum team should look into this

Hi,
[soapbox]
I have tried to use the forum on a smarty phone.
My opinion the developers should not be wasting their time, wait until the smarty screen gets to 15cm, then introduce it.

How in a small screen can you present what a 15cm screen can and with a castrated keyboard cheesed me off.

I wonder about all those with suicide tendencies that watch movies on their smarty phone while walking across the street, the movie was meant for a decent screen, the full use of the forum is meant for a full screen.

Lets get one thing right at a time, do it in stages. (Am I echoing a programming strategy from somewhere!!!!)

OK, I understand now. Not sure if it helps but if you 'click' the down arrow at the bottom of your screen there is more space for the list.

See below, taken on a Huawei P9 Lite

I usually don't use that functionality to navigate the forum.

I agree with every word of that !

You should simply enable it on the forum page, but then disable the notification from the website in the extra settings of the desktop browser (Edge, Google, Firefox).
