Hello, iam currently working in a project that using PCB as a mainboard i have a problem about batteries and stuff, iam using 3,7V lithium polymer battery as power source to power my esp32 devkit 1, tcs3200 sensor and an Oled 0.91 inch display ( iam thinking switch to 16x2 I2C LCD), iam using tp4056 as recharge module and a stepdown lm2596 (iam stepdowning the battery to 3.3v) when i want test my oled with internal battery it doesnt turn on, it will turn on if i plug the power through esp32 , please help me ( sorry for my english, i dont really fluent ), here i attach my pcb wiring
If you use an external voltage regulator to stepdown battery to 3.3v, why did you connect it to VIN pin of ESP32 ? This pin used to connect a voltage more than 4 - 4.5v
If you supply the ESP32 with 3.3v, you need to connect it to 3.3v pin
That buck converter needs at least 4.75volt input for 3.3volt output.
Better to use a low-dropout linear regulator for that small drop.
Leo..
You can use CI MCP-73831 to charge the battery and CI AP-2112-3.3 to power your ESP.
