Hi everyone,
I am a complete electronics and arduino beginner and have been battling with this for days now and I can't figure it out. I am using two L298N motor drivers to power two salvaged dvd-drive stepper motors. I can't seem to get enough power to the drivers and motors. I am powering the Arduino using USB power. Then +5v from the arduino to VCC of both drivers.
The external supply for the motors is from an iphone 6 charger plugged into the wall and it outputs 5V, 1A. The +ve from the iphone supply is connected to the +5V of both motor drivers.
The motors don't seem to be move much due to lack of power. I am positive the stepper motors have the proper matching coils, because if I power each one individually they work. I see jumper cables on the boards but i'm not sure what they do.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
