I'm working on a project that involves using 4 servo motors and one NEMA 17 stepper motor. To power the stepper motor, I need a 12V power supply. To power the servo motors and my Arduino, I need a 6V power supply. However, doing this would result in my 6V battery pack running out of power very quickly, and it is quite tedious to use two power supplies. Is there any way I could use only the 12V power supply to power everything, from the servos to the Arduino and the stepper motors? I tried using a buck converter to step down 12V to 5V, and then power my servo and Arduino, but the servos perform incredibly poorly from it.

the measures voltages were around 5V

Nema 17 does not tell us the electical specs of the motor.
Can you please post libks to data/specs of servos, stepper and stepper driver?

What does perform incredibly poorly mean?
I presume battery powered.
I use a 20A BEC powered by a 4S LiPo. Easily powers 4 servos.
If you need regulated 12v, maybe a 5S LiPo would give better results.
Edit: The BEC I use allows you to use 6v output. Gives about a 20% increase in servo torque.
