Power up Arduino MKR1010 + MKR ETH shield

Hi everyone

I am working on a project and I have to combine Arduino MKR1010 with MKR ETH shield. I am facing issues when I am trying to power up the boards using Vin pin. After looking the MKR ETH schematic I found that this shield is powered up only from the 5V pin. When I hook up MKR1010 and MKR ETH together and apply 5V at 5V pin then I measure with my multimeter 4.4V at 5V pin (there is 600mV voltage drop) and Vcc 1.5V. After compensating the voltage drop by increasing the Input voltge to 5.6V the ethernet shield starts working normally, Vcc is 3.3V and 5V pin is 4.9V (there is some voltage however, but the system is functional).

Could you please explain me this behaviour? Is it normal that I have to supply 5.6V before the MKR ETH start working? What is the proper way for supplying the system (what pin and what voltage)?

Thanks in advance Nick

This isn't possible. Or I don't understand your sentence. But if you provide 5V to one pin and the measure the voltage at that pin it should be 5V, otherwise the power supply isn't sufficient.

If my interpretation isn't correct, you might see why we always ask for a wiring diagram.
