Powering Monitor with Arduino Setup

Hi,

I am trying to power a monitor (like computer monitor) with the Arduino setup. I just want to be able to control when the monitor turns on/off. This monitor can be powered by a USB C from the computer.

But do you know what kind of system would work using the Arduino? Like obviously an external power supply, but not sure what I need to convert it...

Thanks in advance.

A relay to turn the mains power to the monitor on and off

Thanks, UKHeliBob. Sorry for maybe the simple question. I am new to this.

Will the relay offer a USB C attachment? The relay is connected to an external power source correct?

Thanks!

Post a link to the monitor product page or data sheet.

If the monitor is mains powered, you could use this switchable AC outlet to power it up/down with an Arduino.

Here is the monitor I am using.

How are you powering that monitor, and how is the video signal transmitted?

Basically you just use the relay as a switch to turn the power to the monitor on and off. The relay will not itself provide any power, that is up to you
