Hi all, when my arduino is powered by the pc it is perfectly normal, but when it is powered via 9V battery it goes crazy and doesn't work. How can I fix?
Use an appropriately sized battery or power supply. 9V PP3 batteries are for things like smoke alarms, which are designed for very low power operation.
Which Arduino do you have?
Should be ok with a 9V battery. So I guess you are not just powering an Arduino with the battery. Motors? Relays? Lots of LEDs?
If so, I recommend 4xAA holder for 4xNiMH rechargeable cells. Power the Arduino by connecting this to the 5V and GND pins, not the Vin pin. Take separate wires from the holder to power the motors or whatever.
That reads like normal operations for those 9V batteries. Use a different power source.

For example when I want to power a lcd the arduino with the 9V battery doesn't work. I have an arduino uno r3 but is it possible to power the arduino via usb with the normal power supply that is used with mobile phones?
Likely not....try using 5 AA cells in series into Vin....if it fixes it, you have your answer.
Chargers are just that, not necessarily any good for "power supply".
Look into the web for how chargers work and you'll have your answer there also.
Yes.
Powering an Arduino through the USB socket with a 5volt cellphone chargers is the same as powering the Arduino from a PC or laptop. Same current limitations apply.
Leo..
Sellphone? How about sailphone or salephone or cellphone?
Haha, corrected.
