Problem when burning arduino bootloader to ATmega 32A

I tried burning the bootloader onto this chip using Arduino as ISP and I get the following error:

Arduino: 1.6.5 (Windows 8.1), Board: "ATmega32, Standard, 16MHz external (BOD 2.7v)"

avrdude: Yikes!  Invalid device signature.

         Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override

         this check.



Error while burning bootloader.

  This report would have more information with
  "Show verbose output during compilation"
  enabled in File > Preferences.

I used Mighty Core to burn the bootloader.

Please tell me how to fix this!!

Enable verbose upload and post output. Jt doesntntell you the key information otherwise
