Problems with reading files on DFPlayer mini pro

SoftwareSerial doesn't work with a "ESP32".
I believe it works no better with a "Nano ESP32".

The following is for the 'other' DFPlayer (the one without the USB_C), but the hardware serial implementation still carries --
