Programmer is not responding

So that worked.
Well, you could try to download a new bootloader but you would either need a programmer or another Arduino to do so. So you might as well just buy a new Uno

okayyy thank youuu. I guess I should buy a new one haha

uhm may I ask what is the possible cause for this issue?

Be carful.
Don't use it on a metal surface. Even a paper clip can short it out
Don't connect/disconnect things while the power is on
Static electricity can also damage the board.

It's usually best to power high current devices with a separate power supply.

okayy thanks for the info

I have the same problem with a UNO R3, I have tried to disconnect, note the USB ports, reupload, but the problem remains.
I do not believe it is a Bootloader problem because I have tried with another board, Arduino NANO, and the problem remains the same (whatever the choice pf the processor is: normal or "Old bootloader").

Here is the compilation error reort in Verbose mode with the UNO R3:

I believe that the problem is something else than the Bootloader: maybe the version of the CH340 driver ?

Any solution ?
Thank you

The Uno R3 does not use a CH340.
Did you try the bootloader test?
Did you try the loopback test?

See your topic on the same problem

hello I already use another arduino but it still doesn't work. is this possible that my laptop usb port is the problem?

If you did the loopback test exactly as explained in the link in post #19 then the port is OK, otherwise the test would have failed

Are you sure you have the right board selected.
Does the LED on the board blink a few times (around 3) when you push the reset button?
