Project w/ GSM 1500 to send GPS & SMS

I am a high school student that is working on having a board that sends SMS and the GPS location of the board. I first ordered GSM 1400 with 3G sim card from Arduino but I recently came to the realization that the U.S has shut down 2G/3G. And now I am lost on what I should get to be able to complete my project. I am planning to switch to the GSM 1500.
These are some of my questions:
What type of sim card works the best with GSM 1500? What antenna? Do I need additional items other than the GSM 1500, sim card, and circuit breadboard?

I really appreciate hearing feedback and advice on what I should consider starting my project.

The mkr 1500 purchased from arduino includes an antenna. It also includes a modem with outdated firmware so search through this forum to see if that’s something you are willing to do since it’s not super easy and some find it necessary.

I use the hologram SIM card. For texts it costs money but if you send less than a mb of data per month through their cloud you can get it for free, and through their dash board reroute the data.

I think you would need to purchase another gps module as well. I don’t know which one.

Attention: The mkr1500 is ONLY LTE-M and NB (Narrow Band) and NOT a full LTE (5G) modem.
Check first if your area is covered with these bands.
