Hey, in my project pwm output at 255 not giving speed to motor connected via tip122 that much as compared to motor connected to direct 12vdc.
Is that the limitation or any other issue.
Hi.
You seem to be assuming you made all connections correctly.
So now i will assume you did not.
Assumption is dangerous and should be avoided.
You can take out that assumption part by showing how you connected everything, and tell us about how you came to your conclusions.
Read the sentence above again.
I am asking how you did connect everything, not how you meant to do it.
So pointing to some instruction from some site will not suffice.
Also tell about what voltages and currents are to be expected in your setup.
Provide more details when asking questions.

The diagram in post#4 there shows the kickback diode in the wrong place.
It should go across the motor, not across the transistor.
A TIP122 darlington has a saturation voltage of ~1.5volt at 1Amp with 4mA base current.
The motor, with a 12volt supply, will get 10.5volt. And will not reach full speed.
You were told by dlloyd in post#8 to use a logic level mosfet.
And several times in other posts that a motor needs a minimum PWM value to start working.
I never saw any code there.
