Hello everyone,
I'm looking for a relay that I can switch with the Arduino. It should be able to handle 230V and 16A. Switching via the digital pin
Greetings Pfeiffy
Google is a good friend. Try "Relay 230 V 16 A".
Thank you for this very great answer
Isn't there more you can provide? IS the 230 volts AC or DC? Is the relay controlling a motor?
Impossible. Some circuit (breakout board...) is required to drive the relay by a weak digital pin.
The relay you are asking for will require more current to control than the Arduino can supply. And I doubt you will find such a relay that has a 5Volt coil.
One suggestion is to purchase a SSR rated for your needs.
OR purchase a 230V mechanical relay that has a 230 Volt coil. Operate the coil with a small SSR.
Thank you, this ist whst I need
This is probably a fine relay for testing, however these Songle relays have been very UNreliable. I would not use this is an application one wishes to operate for any length of time. Especially when the contact ratings are stressed with loads near their ratings.
Omron I meant:
Potter & Brumfield makes a relay with the same form factor but it costs a nickel more.
P&B relay
What about something like this?
