Resistors?

Hey guys, when making things with the arduino what are the most common resistors to use? (i understand ohms so no need to explain

Ok. Here's what I keep handy. 220 Ohm, 1K, 4.7K, 10K 100K

If you can't find a reasonably priced assortment I would
get 100, 124, 205, 374, 475, 1K 4.75K, 9.09K, 10K, 90.9K and 100K
1% 1/4W These values enable you do 10:1 dividers/gain settings and to trim
LM317 voltage regulator for 3.3V or 5V. A couple low values
for LEDs.

Thanks for your help, im just starting out with arduino.

If you are near a RadioShack, I would highly recommend getting a 500 pack assorted resistors (available in either 1/16W or 1/8W, I'd start with 1/8W ones). It is quite inexpensive and you should be set for a while.

yea I got one of those 500 packs in 1/8th watt, and I am set for a while, and have plenty of variety for oddball stuff
