I have recently dissembled my 5 year old laptop. I've searched the internet, and there was a lot of instructables regarding what to do etc with it. So far, I've salvaged the CD Drive's motors, the laser and the webcam. Now coming to the motherboard - I was wondering if I could use them in some electronic project.
The CPU is T3400. Today, we have Arduino, Raspberry pi, etc. Even if the CPU is considered "slow" by today's standards, its ALOT advanced than these boards. So I was thinking - instead of throwing them away, are there any ways I can re-use my motherboard for a nice electronic project? If not, is there any way I can connect it to a breadboard/Arduino/Raspberry Pi, so that I can have some fun tinkering around them, and hence learning about them?
Secondly, suppose I have salvaged a part of something electronic, and it has a few wires. How do I hack this and figure out which pin is which? I'm asking this because I've salvaged my webcam, and searched its part number (It is 21QCMMA0070) but couldn't find any sort of a datasheet. (It has 6 wires in them)

Probable not. Unless you know a lot more about electronics than you do you can't do anything with it. When you do know a lot more about electronics then you find it's not worth it.

No.

Without any data there is little you can do. Six wires just has too many options. Four wires and it might just be USB.
Could you suggest me some good books to go into that direction? I want to give it a try even if its not worth it. I want to learn more! That said, I'm already quite familiar with the basic components, and a couple of ICs, (+ a few confusions) along with logic gates. I really want to dive in!

Chasing the part number seems to link to the LG R410 laptop. Chasing this yields a site where you can download the maintenance manual (though not for free) but the block diagram page is available and it sort of point to the webcam being connected to the USB2.0 bus.
Maybe Grumpy_Mike is close and it is USB (4 wires) and the other 2 are maybe microphone or LED's
