is it possible to use an RFID module to start an ultrasound sensor? ( when the RFID senses the right card, the ultrasound sensor starts to sense the distance?..)
What distance? Check the specifications of your sensor. That will tell you directly the answer.

You might volunteer some information about the distance you want the ultrasonic to sense. Just any distance? The distance to the person with the RFID card? The distance to the grocery store?
