Rookie needing some help setting up a project

Hello All,
I'm new to Arduino. I've dabbled with raspberry pi a bit (retropie, plex, etc.) but have no business working on the current project I've decided to take on.

At our office, we have some great ping-pong games and I want to spice things up a bit. I originally was going to buy some score keeping system but nothing really existed. After some research, I stumbled across this amazing (in my eyes) project:

I just purchased the following hardware:
2 x Standalone Momentary Capacitive Touch Sensor Breakout (AT42QT1010) [ID:1374]
1 x Spark Core with Chip Antenna Rev 1.0[ID:2127]
1 x PowerBoost 500 Charger - Rechargeable 5V Lipo USB Boost @
500mA+[ID:1944]
1 x Lithium Ion Polymer Battery - 3.7v 2500mAh[ID:328]
1 x Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 5V/16 MHz[ID:2378] (didn't know which one to buy so got one of each)
1 x Arduino Pro Mini 328 - 3.3V/8 MHz[ID:2377] (didn't know which one to buy so got one of each)
2 x 16mm Illuminated Pushbutton - Green Momentary[ID:1440] (thought maybe we could use this instead of the other sensors but don't have to)
1 x Adafruit HUZZAH CC3000 WiFi Breakout with Onboard Antenna (v1.1) [ID:1469]
1 x Heat Shrink Kit
1 x Hook-Up Wire - Assortment (Solid Core, 22 AWG)
10 x RFID Tag (125kHz) *** I'm using these tags instead of the glass RFIDs
1 x RFID Reader ID-12LA (125 kHz)
1 x SparkFun RFID Reader Breakout

I realize most people here are generous and like to help others out but this is a little different because I'm asking for help without putting much effort in. Assuming it is not against the forum rules, I have no problem donating money to charity or to some other Arduino school project or something like that.

If anyone is willing to help - my first question is - do I need anything else besides what I have purchased above?

I'm expecting everything to arrive this week so I'll get my soldering iron ready
I know part of this is NOT hardware related so I'll try and get help somewhere else for that part unless we have some experts for that as well.

*** The info they provide on the site and github are pretty high level so I'm mainly looking for some hand-holding!

Thanks to everyone in advance,
Randy

Hi Randy,

You have actually posted to the Gigs and collaborations forum where most people expect to get paid personally for helping or developing products. Assuming that you have not cross posted this then you better off going to the project guidance forum Here

Good luck with this.

Cheers Pete.

Pete,
Thanks for the info.
I'm going to try and figure out how to move my project over there.
Someone earlier told me to put it here so I deleted my old post

Have a great one!
Randy

Thread moved.

Why spend money on ingredients when you don't have a recipe?
Didn't everything just movie itself together?

The smart thing to do is contact the crews/people who did it the last time, through forums there.
It's way easier do to do again what you just done and do it better than to reinvent a wheel.

There's a reason why people make livings developing code. It's not as easy as driving or talking.

As you now have your Thread in the Project Guidance section I presume you are planning to develop the code yourself.

What experience of Arduino programming do you have?

If you are a complete beginner you should start with the examples that come with the Arduino IDE.
The Thread planning and implementing a program may have some useful stuff.

Break your project development into a series of very small pieces and get each one to work before doing the next piece. When you know how to do all the pieces separately you can start joining them together.
