Rugged Arduino Mega Version

Hi All,
I'm using arduino mega 2560 for my outdoor project, it spoils quite frequently. I was recommended to this rugged arduino mega LINK, it has many protections comparing with normal one.

The rugged mega version is too expensive, does anyone know where can i find a cheaper one but with similar protections?

It would be good to know why it fails frequently ... moisture, temperature, current overload, grounding, power sypply, EMI, RFI, etc.
Could get some good suggestions if we knew more about your project ... circuit, photo, etc.

That "rugged" arduino mega looks like it's hardened against electrical abuse. An outdoor project is more likely failing due to moisture/temperature (temperature swings -> condensation -> moisture damage)
