RX to TX, and TX to RX?

I think this is wrong as well???

For the example: https://docs.arduino.cc/built-in-examples/communication/MultiSerialMega

It would seem so.

As you know, on this forum there are company staff who can direct this observation to the correct person for changes to be made, if it's found to be incorrect. I've selected one of them from your November thread about a different issue.

@dozie Could this be submitted to the right entity for correction, please? Thank you.

@jiapei100
Rx is short of "Receiver", Tx is "Transceiver"

Transceiver of the one device should connects to the Receiver on another, and wise versa.
So RX-TX and TX-RX

TX-transmitter.

Transceiver is usually a term reserved for a pin/device that can Trans(mit) or re(ceive).

Fun, eh?

may be
My English is bad, sorry

You talk out of your mouth (transmit) and someone else listens with their ear (receive).

...In a PCB schematic there are often signal names and the name has to be the same everywhere so that might be confusing.

thank you both

@anon92864395 Just noted that, on the sidebar. Good to know.

@jiapei100, you can report the problem at https://www.arduino.cc/en/contact-us/
