I have got the attached sensor wiring and also my power source and dont want to cause damage to it. Would someone please tell me what to be connected to what?
The power is a normal modem charger and I need to know the wire with white line on it needs to be connected to what color and the black one to which color. Many thanks

Use a multimeter to check it. Usually the wire with the white line is the positive but I'd not rely on that and measure before connecting.
I would use a multi meter as well especially the voltmeter
put the voltmeter across it and by the way the needle deflects i.e. plus or minus you will see which way around they are.
