Hey ppl!, I'm new to Arduino and this forum!
So far having really fun. I believe this is the right section for this topic(?)
I was curious of what you have recycled/hacked/reused (TV, Microwaves, Computers, anything)
and what was it used for, also is there a picture of the project?
Re purposed my kitchen ceiling fan...Now it has black blades instead of white...Yaaaay go spray paint !
Also have an old CPU fan with an Ardi mini and WS series circle of LED,s under its with semi random set of display patterns...LED's were from a compass project for my boat but this looks cooler....Yaaaay go useless flashing LED's
Kitchen shelf re-purposed as an Ardi test bed for dev work and general playing 12 different devices all powered up together and mounted with a couple of small breadboards too...Yee Haaa take that random spare kitchen shelf
Building some items for a bakery Christmas float... so ANYTHING that comes in useful is re-assigned
two 4 foot high ginger bread men now have moving bakers hats and a pendulum type arrangement...Whoopee anything lying around Old beading stripped from other house projects makes great window and door features on the gingerbread house.
Two old style multi pane windows cleaned up and sealed and now a 16 picture arrangement for photographs...
Two old printers are slowly becoming a laser type plotter but that's a WIP.
Honestly if it lays around too long it gets re cycled one way or another...Old paint becomes base coats for fresh wood...Concrete additive is cheaper and better than wood glue...I could hang around here all day but I am sure I have something to tear into...
EDIT adding pics...30% of wood used in the float is re-cycled as were many minor details
Added pic of cool flashing light prototype...re-cycled ashtray (added glass beads later for diffusing effect) And that's all this post will allow for size...ho hum... dang the picture limits
