Silent way to control stepper motor

Hello all!

I'm new at arduino, and this business.

I would like to know if there is a silent way to control NEMA 17 stepper motor?

Thanks in advance.

Can you describe a way that is NOT SILENT?

Well a rotating part like a stepper-motor can't be completely "silent"
maybe this is a problem of not knowing the correct english word

silent: making absolutely no sound
Are you sure that you want to ask for a way how to

control a steppermotor that the steppermotor makes absolutely no sound
control a steppermotor that the steppermotor makes absolutely no noise

??

What comes close to this is pure hardware completely independent of the software that creates the step-/dir-pulses
Trinamic has advanced stepper-drivers that reduce the noise of a rotating stepper-motor significantly but not to zero

best regards Stefan

yes totaly right stefan

can't be fully silent, logic...

do you have a reference product that i could buy

thanks

The TMC2209 stepper driver is supposed to be quiet. I have not test any, though.

if the TMC2209 fits to your stepper-motor depends on the specs that your stepper-motor has

You should post a datasheet of your stepper-motor

ok thank you

here is a comparison video for the similar driver TMC2208
