I want to connect a PS/2 through-hole connector to an Arduino Pro Micro to build a so-called "Soarer's converter" (PS/2 to USB converter for legacy keyboards).
In order to make this as small as possible I don't want to solder header pins to the Arduino but just place the board on a flat custom PCB which has also the PS/2 connector. I intend to have solder pads and directly solder the Arduino board to the PCB. So basically I only have those 2 components on the PCB connected via 4 routes. Power will be given via the USB connector and a custom 3d printed housing. So very simple from a circuit point of view.
Has anyone already done this and has a template EAGLE file for this? I am a beginner to EAGLE and don't know how to achieve this.
Basically it would be enough to have a PCB of the same size as the Arduino Pro Micro and just the solder pads with the correct size/distance as a start if anyone would be willing to help out here. Thanks
