Smart Energy Meter readout (Kamstrup DK-8660)

Hi all,

About two years ago the Ferraris Energy Meter in my home has been replaced by a smart meter.

The new energy meter is a Kamstrup DK-8660. omnipower-three-phase-meter/documents

My energy supplier provides energy data on a website. But the data available is "historic", up to the previous day, and sometimes incomplete or delayed. I would like to see actual data.
The meter is known to be able to be extended with communication modules or even with an optical connection device with USB interface.
I believe there are commercial remote displays available, but I did not find any yet, and expect them to be rather expensive.
My energy supplier doesn't provide any information about such options, and a question didn't help. I would need to ask more intensely, but I first want do do some research.

Therefore I ask here if anyone has any experience with smart meter readout.
I would like to add my own display, maybe over a gateway to the communication module or optical connector. I know that the energy supplier can be asked for the encryption key needed.

Check with the meter's manufacturer, you may be able to get the wanted data from them.

Your energy supplier, like mine, is ONLY concerned with the cumulative energy used since the last time your meter was interrogated by their radio system.

Does your supplier manufacture the meter?

No, Kamstrup is the meter manufacturer, not an energy supplier.

This is what I asked for.

I found this post:

Your provider have disabled the IR port, unfortunately.

This may be a relevant information.

I already sent a mail to my energy supplier. Will see if I get a useful answer.

My energy supplier currently has a solution. It is WLAN-to-cloud-to-app based:
https://www.ckw.ch/energie/netz-und-infrastruktur/stromzaehler-und-messen/smart-me-modul
But it can only be ordered up to the end of this year, 2023.

I had scrolled down to the end of this page:
https://www.ckw.ch/energie/netz-und-infrastruktur/stromzaehler-und-messen
But I was not smart enough to grasp the meaning of "Smart-me".

I am not so happy to use a cloud and app based solution. But there is additional information in:
https://wiki.smart-me.com/produkte/kamstrup-modul
and
https://wiki.smart-me.com/konfiguration/inbetriebnahme
maybe the module can be used with a gateway through an api:
https://wiki.smart-me.com/schnittstellen/api
in a later step.
