Smart Outlet with Touchscreen Controlled Relays

Before I begin this project, I just wanted to hear some confirmation that this will not become a hazard. I want to have several outlets that I can toggle on and off by using touchscreen input to control relays. Please see the attached schematic and let me know if you see anything I am doing wrong or that could become dangerous.

Additionally, is there a limit to the number of outlets I can connect in parallel like this? Is four or five reasonable?

Thanks in advance!

I would use double-pole relays so that both HOT and NEUTRAL poles are switched. You can't be assured that the H and N connections at every outlet are correct unless you test every one beforehand. If H and L are swapped and you open N a hazard could form.

We have no clue as to you ability to wire up something like you have shown. Nor do we know the wire size or the insulation of the wire. You definitely need a 15 amp fuse or circuit breaker where it plugs into an outlet. You certainly do NOT want to use the little blue relays because they fail open or closed so often. Use relays that are US made for such use.

First thoughts...
Check your relays are mounted and isolated to code. No risk of creepage, flashover, short to other components.

The way you drew the 3-pin mains plugs is ambiguous... ensure the Live/Neutral pins aren’t swapped over.

Is a mains fuse worth considering ?

Do they exist?

Hi,
Place a fuse at the power inlet and an indicator light to show that it is on.
Keep all 120Vac wiring away from the low voltage signal wiring.

Make sure your relays are rated for the loads, such as heatgun.

You total load can only be 15A, not 15A from each outlet, hence a fuse as mentioned is essential.
