Are there any standards for soldering iron tip sizes?
I'm looking for flat tip to replace a pointed tip.
The hollow inside diameter is 5.6mm, the outside diameter is 7.1mm.
The shoulder diameter at the pointy end is 5.38mm which widens to the 7.1mm tube diameter.
This slides over 45mm of ceramic heater which is 5.1mm in diameter.
Are there any standards for soldering iron tip sizes?
No they come in all shapes and sizes. It mainly depends on what iron you have, they are different for each different iron, normally there is a choice of about 20 tips for a good iron.
