[SOLVED] How do I hide the new side bar?

Just downloaded the new version to find it includes a new side bar. Is there any way of hiding it?

Hi @matelot. There are two things in the Arduino IDE 2.x interface that might be described as a "sidebar":

Activity Bar

The "Activity Bar" cannot be hidden.

Left Side Bar

The "Left Side Bar" can be hidden by clicking the icon for the active view in the "Activity Bar" (the icons are toggle controls).

In the example above, the "Library Manager" view is open in the "Left Side Bar", so clicking the icon that looks like books will close the "Left Side Bar":
