Complete newbie here,
I've bought a Touch Board from Bare Conductive as well as a Adafruit
Bluefruit EZ-Link Shield to hook it up with. I want to solder these two together but I am unsure if I should solder all the pins like this or if it's just the D0 and D1 pin + power?

Touch Board Shield Guide
I've never soldered or done anything with electronics before, so apologies for my ignorance.
Any help appreciated
Thanks!
If you were going to solder the pins like the photo explain EXACTLY HOW you would accomplish that. Leave nothing out.
Do you think soldering is like making a peanutbutter and jelly sandwwich ?
Learn to solder first and then ask that question. Otherwise you're just going to end up with a mess.
Study this
1-Buy solder paste to tin the solder tip.
2- make sure your tip is in good condition or replace it
3- Buy a FLUX pen or LIQUID flux
4- Buy a FLUX BRUSH
5- Use a Weller 35W WP35 or equivilent.
6- Let the iron warm up for at least 5 minutes before using it (unless you have a temp controlled station)
7- Heat the joint for 5 seconds and then apply flux to the joint.
8- Buy Rosen core solder (I like KESTER 44 60/40 ROSEN CORE SOLDER)
9- Reheat joint for a few seconds and then apply solder to see if it melts. If it melts continue to apply heat to the joint until the solder flows and fills the joint.
10-Buy a decent magnifying glass at a stationary store for examining the solder joints.
Last but not least, if you are soldering male headers, plug them into something to hold them straight while you solder the board to the top of the header. Solder the to two end pins first to hold the header in place while you solder the rest of the pins.
EXAMINE ALL THE JOINTS WITH THE MAGNIFYING GLASS BEFORE unplugging the iron. Touch up any that don't look good.
Sorry for the confusing question.
I appreciate the advice on how to solder, my question was however what to solder rather than how.
I received an answer directly from Bare Conductive:
"It's a good idea to solder all the headers on as this also makes a good mechanical connection, the shield guide is just letting you know that these specifically are the pins on the Touch Board that this shield communicates with.
So yes it should look like the image you sent with all the headers connected"
Thanks for your answer.
Problem solved!
