My friend has the mega 2560 rev3. What are the specs for running Arduino? Trying to help him select a Windows 11 laptop that's has enough memory, etc with drivers that will work well but haven't been able to find any recommended/minimum specs.
Welcome to the forum
If the laptop can run Windows then it will have no trouble running the Arduino IDE
USB drivers may need to be installed depending on the Arduino or third party board being used but they are freely available
great, thanks!
I have a Win11 computer, and it runs Arduino IDE well without any issues ![]()

Thanks!
No HW concerns? E.g. chips, 4G, 8G...?
As far as I know, all you need on your computer is a USB port for your Arduino ![]()
I would recommend using a SSD for IDE 2 install, having the C: drive as SSD is also better.
Using SSDs does make a huge difference in your IDE 2 experience.
