Speech Recognition board decision -

I'm a newbie to Arduino and have electronics expriance and programming experiance with vast range of languges.
My objective is to build a TV remote control system that uses voice recognition to change channels (speaking the channel number).
My main question is which shield to buy?

I found some projects done with the EasyVR 3.0 (e.g. this one) but could not find anything with the elechouse board that is cheaper (video here).

Can anyone help recommended a board for this based on their experience ?

I have not used the Elechouse board but based on what I've read, I think the EasyVR is a lot easier to use.

I like the EasyVR myself but Androids with voice recognition cost about the same. IF you knew how to program an Android device to use the voice recognition feature, then an Android would likely be the best bang for the buck. That said, I think the EasyVR would work well as long as you can be close to the microphone when you give it commands.

Thanks DuaneDegn,

As you recommend I will go with the EasyVR 3.0 Shield.
