Stand-alone Speech Recognition Device

Good Day!
I am planning to build a stand-alone speech recognition device. It will not need a computer to process the voice signal but only the device itself. and i want it speaker dependent. my questions are:

  1. is it possible?
  2. what arduino products do you suggest?

i want it to use it in home automation. i want this stand-alone speech recognition device to be the server. as it recieves the voice signal, it orders the automation. Sorry if i was not clear. I will be really happy if you can help. Thanks for reading. :slight_smile:

Is this possible?
just using an arduino no. You need a voice recognition shield, which in effect is another computer. The arduino has not the memory nor speed to do this.
