i have
TB6600 4A 9-42V Stepper Motor Driver
Nema 17 stepper
Arduino UNO
potentiometer for speed control

I was looking at the stepper motor library stepper-speedControl code
which i have used with a L298N but that driver gets seriously hot

is there any way i can hook this TB6600 4A 9-42V Stepper Motor Driver up to the stepper-speedControl code
is it even possible ?

Welcome to the forums. Can you use an Arduino to drive this? Yes.

read this link. You probably will have to adjust your code a bit depending on how you were using your current driver.
