Just as explanation: the idea for the small testscketch i've told you was to makte it easier for you to learn how your LCD is organized. Even if you have only printed "line 0 and line 1" you see that line 0 wraps around physically to line 2; line 1 wraps around to line 3.

Just for clarity the LiquidCrystal_I2C library is not a native or bundled library that comes with the IDE. It is also not a library that is written by or maintained by an Arduino.cc developer.
It is a 3rd party developed by an Arduino enthusiast the same as many other 3rd party Arduino libraries such as the hd44780 library.

So that is to say, if you do a fresh install of the IDE, no iquidCrystal_I2C will be present? 
Correct. Did a fresh install in the past couple weeks, never used that library because why would I want to, and it is not installed by default.
