TF MP3 module, can I read/write data

Hi all,

I am wondering if I can upload data from the pc to the sd using the IDE... on the board that I have, i'm not sure where to connect the pin... maybe I can hack this somehow?

I see IRM on the module which Im not too sure what its for, also L G R for left ground right ( speaker in) i assume.

You need a USB microSD adapter (amazon sellers, < $10). With that you format the microSD and you can then transfer data to/from it, with the PC as you would a thumbdrive (etc.)
PE - Many PC's have such a facility built in.

Or i could jump the pins directly from the board to the arduino. Found this photo off pinterest...

Which Arduino? microSD's are 3V devices.
Doesn't your PC have a card slot?

This whole thing is going in a artpiece. I would like to plug in my usb and edit playlist, messages, codes etc without opening the whole thing up to access a micro sd...

OSEPP MEGA 2560 R3

If you can provide USB access for updating then why can't provide access to a microSD slot?

You mean the Arduino IDE? It has no such function.

The images on your link do not show the IRM connectors. Is this the correct link?

I imagine these will be line level outputs for an external stereo amplifier, not an input.

IRM is present on picture i uploaded and wasen't present on amazon photo.

I will attempt the soldering of 7 wires on the pads of the micro sd holder when I have access to my fine tip for my soldering station. Then with some

myFile = SD.open("test.txt", FILE_WRITE)

Coding should do the trick( just a sd example code... i haven't looked 8nto retrieving certain .mp3 file yet

Is it possible that I R M is for sn ir receiver for remote control?

IRM could be for IR reciever but dont expect it to work as Ive see a few boards where the connectors were present but not supported in firmware
