that white heat sink glue!?

What is the correct term for that white glue you see on PCBs to hold on small heatsinks.....and whats it made off?

Not sure if you mean the thermal paste since you mentioned heat sinks

thermal paste

or PCB RTV/Silicone used to glue down and seal things... Note: You need ones designed for electronics because regular silicone is corrosive.

Silicone for Electronics

 Yeah, should have been more clear.....This white glue that holds on the heatsinks and assumes is made to also conduct heat well

thermal paste is probably between the heat sink and chip. Looks like they used RTV to glue down the heat sink because I see no other way of mounting them.

Don't get the RTV between the heatsink and chip... Silicone insulates... think about silicone heat pads for your oven.

There is also thermal epoxy which affixes heatsinks to components in a non-removable way.

I use this to affix water cooling blocks to stepper motors.

Not removable without destruction..

Maybe this stuff? It's not an adhesive.
