Translations for Maker Fair poster - Traduzioni di Maker Fiera manifesto

Hi PalolP fancy doing some more voice recordings?

I just put Ambarabà ciccì coccò through Google translate and it came up with:-

three owls on the dresser
making love
with the daughter of the doctor ;
The doctor became ill :

A dresser means a piece of furniture, that is fine but:-
Now "making love" in English usage now means "having sex" so sex between a Doctors daughter and three birds does not sound good, tell me it means something different please.

Understood.

Any one else fancy recording some words for my machine?

Thanks giorgio90.

I am happier with that, I will go with this poster.

Grumpy_Mike, don't worry about the novels, they are just little texts with funny rhyms used to let the babies sleeping
"Uomo nero" doesn't mean "black", so it's not a form of racism. It means "bad man", a figure for the evil (instead of the devil).

Similarly, the second one has the sense that you found: "fare l'amore" means exactly "have sex". But it's obvious that it's impossible, it's a rhym too. Keep in mind that "ambarabà ciccì coccò" is used by 6/8/10 years old babies to make the count for other games to choose the one that has to count, to try to catch the other ones, to do something etc... No baby has never thinked about a bird having sex with a person

Thanks, it is good to know.
I suppose the rhymes we have will equally make no sense in Italian.

So if no one wants to record some words I will leave my little robot translator at home this year.

I will be over for the open source conference on the Tuesday as well if anyone is going to that.

Cheers
Mike

As I said you one year ago, I have a terrible florentine accent so my voice would sound terribly hilarious
I cannot register the novels, for sure :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
