Trying to combine 2 seperate projects onto one pro micro

hey everyone, ill cut to the chase. im a noob when it comes to programming for arduino. i recently did a DIY shifter knob (for sim truckin’, 2 switches, 1 momentary push button) and also made a DIY handbrake (for using in driftin or rally sims). they both work great… by themselves. however, i would like to combine them both to use the same arduino. Now the code im using for the shifter, also is setup to add more buttons down the line. id like to add this joystick script, but im having issues.

button box/shifter code

then here is the joystick one.

Hello
take a look here.

https://arduinogetstarted.com/faq/how-to-combine-two-arduino-sketches#:~:text=How%20to%20combine%20two%20above%20sketches%201%20In,Merge%20two%20sketches.%20code%20will%20merge%20as%20below

thanks for the quick reply. ive tried doing that. im adding the handbrake joystick code to the button box code. once i add them together, i start getting " " was not declared in this scope error on lines from the button box code

Hello,
show your sketch to see how we can help you.

believe it or not, i just got it to work! woot!! looks like where i was placing

int pot = analogRead(A0);
int mapped = map(pot,0,1023,0,255);
{Joystick.setThrottle(mapped);

within the existing loop of the buttonbox code, was a no no. i ended up putting at the end of the sketch and bam! verified with no issues and when i uploaded, its all working as it should!

perfect, enjoy the weekend. :+1:
