trying to identify pinout of 16x4 lcd with pad and speaker

I know this has been asked before, but like i had some progress, i wonder if still someone can help me out on this.

i'm trying to use an LCD, speaker and pad scrapped from an ATALLA POS TERMINAL. i have been able to identify the VIN and the general ground, plus discard all the PAD pins, and the speaker pin (if i connect that to a PWN the speaker does a sound).

something weird i found, is that if i supply 5V to VIN, it show the backlight, if i supply 7V it start's showing the black boxes in the first row and in the third one. it put me thinking that maybe it doesn't have a pin to control the contrast (or just i'm doing it wrong)

if someone has any idea ( or method ) of how i can identify the data, RS, EN and other necessary pins to use it with an arduino mega, please, let me know

here are some individual images:

If you can post some usable images you will be more likely to get some usable help.

Don

i supposed that a general image of 5mb was enough, but just in case, i just added the individual high res images url's

You don't "get it", do you? :grinning:

It's not the megapixels - it's whether you can see anything in the pictures.

Get a proper camera.

Take it outside in daylight (but not direct sun).

Keep the camera at least 1.2 metre away, use its zoom (and I mean actual zoom) to size the view up to the board and take the photo.

Unless your pictures are perfectly focussed and illuminated, they are useless. This is engineering, not Arts.
