Turn on fan 12v with relay 5v

Hi guys.

i have this scheme
Relay : g5v-h Omron | 5V |
NPN : BC337-40
Fan : 12V 0.2 A
Supply 5v 0.6A
Supply 12v All current i need (HY3005D)

I just have one point GND for everything.

The relay is on ( i measured it and sound it), but i it cant turn on the fan.

What is wrong?

Well 5V goes into pin13 of the relay and goes out to the 12V fan. Perhaps a 12V fan needs 12V to run?

Correction, with the previous scheme the fan turns on, but the voltage to the lcd varies (increases it), how can I connect them using a 12v and a 5v source?

Pin 13 on your relay should be connected to GND.

Put a kickback diode across the relay coil.

Thank you very much, that solved it, would the diode go to 13 connecting the "input" side of the relay?
