Make one of those 10ohm resistors 10Meg and see if the led still light up.

Why would I run an LED with a 10MΩ resistor? I mean, it would light up like any LED would light up with a current a of a few µA, I guess? What's your point? My strips approximately correspond to a resistance of 10Ω.

To see if the simulator will light up the Led.

I mean, the simulation in that link is editable, just right-click the resistor and put the value if you have questions? You can also flip the switches if that wasn't clear.
Visually, it does not light up, but the mouse-over shows 2.302µA, which seems about right. On my screen, I can see a just so slight tint of red in the symbol starting to appear at 150k.
