Ultrasonic with stepper motor cannot work with 9v battery

I am working on a simple project, using an ultrasonic sensor to operate a stepper motor control by esp32.

The project is completed successfully but when I used a 9v battery then it is not working. How can I calculate the power consumption and reduce it?

Thank you for your time.

If the 9V battery is what I know as a PP3 then it simply cannot supply enough current to power such a project

How is the stepper motor powered ?

Post links to the stepper and stepper driver. You will need separate power supplies for the stepper and the ESP32. Don't forget to connect the grounds.

It is working now. My battery was dead, lol.
Thank you for your support.

My battery was dead.

I used a ULN2003 driver for the pin control and power of the stepper motor.

Thank you for being so supportive.

Exactly what type of 9V battery are you using ?
