hi all! I'm hoping someone can help me with a little programming issue I'm facing atm. I bought an Ambrogio robot lawnmower, that I already enjoy Yesterday I looked around on YouTube and found a video of an underground 'hidden' lift garage for a robot mower somewhere in Germany I guess. Right now I want to build one myself the first problem I'm facing is, that I need some sort of signal that the robot is going to start mowing, so that the lift can be activated, similarly when the robot goes back to the station.
Maybe someone did something similar with a robomower garage door i.e. ? The suggestions of an IR beam / motion sensors is unfortunately not suitable for my project I guess, since the lift will take to long to get up completely
How will the lift logic know in advance that the robot is about to start? Find a way to know that.
Else the parking needs to be sophisticated like lifting the robot wheels on entering. Then monitoring the wheels moving, lifting the parking and lowering the robot and let it go.
For the robot entering the parking a micro switch might work.
posting the link would have given us some level playing field to discuss this project.
first, dig a hole......
need a pit with a box, a lift and power into the house to recharge.
almost everything underground will suffer really high humidity.
the next question is how does your mower know when to start ?
whatever signal that is used to start the thing as well as the thing coming to life, should be all you need to open the pod bay doors, HAL.
