it works!but But the Tetris and love animations from the first power-up are missing, how can I get them back?

That's normal if you had uploaded another code to the board. There're some codes available already for the LED matrix on their official website.

Hi @qaz17229796. The sketch that is running on the UNO R4 WiFi board when it ships from the store is available here:

This bug has been fixed in the Arduino IDE 2.1.1 release that made just minutes ago.

You should get an auto-update offer for 2.1.1 the next time you start Arduino IDE 2.x. After completing the update the upload error should not longer occur.

Hi, there!

I'm not able to install the IDE 2.1.1. I can't see the arduino application in the folder.

Hi @itamar_es. Please provide a detailed description of what you did to install Arduino IDE 2.1.1. There are multiple different ways that it might be installed so I need this information before I can start the investigation.

I downloaded the zip folder that you, guys, provided and I did "extract all" and then I searched for the arduino application so to install it but no where to be found, I cannot see it. Even the update from the software itself is not working at least for me, I have tried couple of times and I'm even trying to do the update from the software right now as I write this reply.

The results you describe would be expected if you used the "Source code (zip)" download link.

Please provide a detailed description of what you mean by "not working".

Maybe it's my WiFi that's unstable I'm gonna use another Wi-Fi.

The IDE 2.1.0 says something like that: " We couldn't update the software" and then it directs to the official website so I can download the new version version there.

It's happening all the time, it's perhaps my internet connection, I don't know.

It was my network that's weak I was able to update from the software using another network. Thank you so much.

i got this problem again and cant solve even i change the computer is it because my arduino r4 wifi is broken?

Hi @qaz17229796. I'm going to ask you to post the full verbose output from an upload attempt.

:exclamation: This procedure is not intended to solve the problem. The purpose is to gather more information.

Please do this:

  1. Select File > Preferences... from the Arduino IDE menus.
    The "Preferences" dialog will open.
  2. Uncheck the box next to Show verbose output during: ☑ compilation in the "Preferences" dialog.
  3. Check the box next to Show verbose output during: ☐ upload.
  4. Click the OK button.
  5. Attempt an upload, as you did before.
  6. Wait for the upload to fail.
  7. You will see a "Upload error: ..." notification at the bottom right corner of the Arduino IDE window. Click the COPY ERROR MESSAGES button on that notification.
  8. Open a forum reply here by clicking the Reply button.
  9. Click the <CODE/> icon on the post composer toolbar.
    This will add the forum's code block markup (```) to your reply to make sure the error messages are correctly formatted.

  10. Press Ctrl+V.
    This will paste the error output from the upload into the code block.
  11. Move the cursor outside of the code tags before you add any additional text to your reply.
  12. Click the Reply button to post the output.

Well, i do have the same error with the Arduino UNO R4 WIFi.
It worked well yesterday, but today it is not responding to the IDE in the way i want it to.
I can get the board information, so SN and everything else is sent to my PC if i ask arduino for it, but no sketch can be uploaded.

The error message is:

Why is the thread marked as solved?
There is NO solution in here.

I've tried uploading on thee different machines, always same error occurs. I've tried arduino IDE 1.8.18, 1.9 and 2.1, even reinstalled them on EVERY single machine.
Error still the same, with different ports of course, depending in the machine i use. (Win11 64bit and also win10 64bit).

Can someone help me?

The solution is:
disconnect ANY Pin from the arduino, double tap the reset button to bring into Flash-Mode and then upload the sketch...
fixed it for my and is reproducable.
