uploading problem

Hi all, I'm new to this and have no idea what I'm doing and wondering if anybody can help? I did a sketch and it verified OK when uploading it to the uno it hangs up and comes up with a error message. the uno board is selected and on the uno the green light does not come on any ideas? Arduino: 1.6.5 (Windows 7), Board: "Arduino Uno"

Sketch uses 1,200 bytes (3%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32,256 bytes.

Global variables use 15 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2,033 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2,048 bytes.

thanks,

It probably was expecting another USB port. Try to select another com.

I've tried other usb ports but no luck, I tried to change the port in the software but it will only look at com1.

I am new at this and had similar problem - today. I am using a Uno board from China which I got off eBay. I found if I install these drivers (on Windows 7) it fixed the problem.

http://www.wch.cn/download/CH341SER_ZIP.html (I needed to use the driverset64 exe by copying it into the main folder).

Hope this helps but note I am far from an expert!.
