Hello everyone.
I remembered I have some esp8266 boards and wanted to make a small program to access a website for a DYI dyndns.
Now the problem I face is that I have 2 boards one new one old, 3 usb cables and I cannot get the OS to see my USB. Simply nothing is detected, or it's behaving like I didn't connect anything.
I have switched the cables between them and the boards and it's not working. Both on Windows 11 and Ubuntu 22.04. Giving the situation I can only imagine it's the USB3.0 port on my laptop, but unfortunately I don't have any USB 2.
Until I go back home where I have a USB-ttl module, I was wandering what other solutions are out there.
I have tried everything installed the CH340/341 and uninstalled several times, tried USB monitoring software, but nothing is detected.4
Would appreciate some ideas.
Thank you.
Is that based on the output of lsusb and dmesg -w?
The first one will tell you if the board is detected, the second one can show possible problems.
