Hi , I need to test the energy consumption for the esp32 when executing specific code by using the USB tester but I have no idea how can use it and what I need for that? any advice please?
You plug in the USB 'tester' and read the numbers off the display on the 'tester'.
Other than that, I have no idea what you are asking!
You mean upload the code on micro-controller and then plug out the USB cable from laptop to plug it in the USB tester? is that right ?
You don't have to remove the USB Tester to upload. Just plug the USB Tester into the PC and plug the cable into the ESP32 and the USB Tester. Upload and run sketches as usual. The USB Tester is only looking at the power wires and does not interfere with the data wires.
Sorry I did not understand this "and plug the cable into the ESP32 and the USB Tester" how can do that ? because the cable from one side plug in pc and the other side plug in esp32, so how can compine esp32 and the tester in the same cable ?! can you clarify more please?
Does the USB tester have a USB input and output ?
Please post a link to the tester that you are using ?
This is the link : http://www.qingdaowuzhi.com/DownLoad/18375.html?a=download
That link does not work for me, but judging by the photo in your now deleted post the tester has a USB plug on one end and a USB socket on the other. If so you can simply plug it into a USB socket on your PC and plug the USB lead to the Arduino into the other end and the current consumption will be displayed
Maybe this will help:
Unplug the Arduino cable from the PC, plug the USB Tester into the PC in its place, and plug the Arduino cable into the USB Tester.
That after upload the code on the esp32 ? is that right?
Yes, or just leave it in place and do the upload with it connected
Yes, I did it , thank you so much and thanks for @johnwasser !
