Hi,
The only 5 pin rotary encoders I have encountered used 3 for 'encoder' part and the other 2 pins were for a momentary push button in the shaft; I haven't seen one that names a 'CLK' signal etc. I'm trying to see activity in the serial monitor. The encoder in question is an Accu-Coder.
Thank you in advance for any help.
For informed help, please read the post "How to use this forum" and carefully follow the directions.
Please post a link to the data sheet of your encoder, a circuit diagram of your setup, and your test sketch (using code tags </>)..
Hi DrDiettrich,
Here's a link to the encoder datasheet.
Connect Com to Gnd, and +VDC to the voltage of your encoder (should be +5V). Then connect the signal cables to input pins. Details depend on your specific encoder type.
