Hello I’m currently using an Ada fruit PowerBoost 1000c to connect to a qi transmitter coil. I’m trying to wonder how can I connect the nano every to the power booster in order to connect an oled screen and buzzer. The qi charger is currently connected to the circled red and blue on the right and the battery is connected on the inputs on the top by the “low”
Please specify the 'qi transmitter coil' - show a picture of the whole device/module, provide a link to its datasheet etc.
Note that the Powerboost board is not intended to directly drive a bare QI coil. A QI charger device (with a coil being part of it) may/should work fine when connected to the Powerboost provided that the QI module accepts 5.2V input.
Well it’s a qi transmitter coil and it has a module already the charger works. I’m just wondering if I can connect the power booster to the arduino as well so I can add an oled display to show charger information
Yes if the charger and nano draw less than 1A
What kind of information? The limited info you could get from the MCP73871 batter charging controller is on pins that aren't broken out to the header of the Adafruit board.
Do you know the charger power? Is it 5W or 7W or 10W?
The charger is 5W
At full power the charger is probably drawing a little more than 1A. So you are aleady exceeding the Powerboost current capability. Connecting a nano every may or may not work or may work or sometimes and not other times.
Would it be better to connect the power booster to the nano every and then the nano every to the module for the qi charger
No that would be worse
Is there an adjustment on the Qi charge so you can change the charging current?
So you have a BIG problem.
The charger need 2A and the Powerboost can only supply 1A
You should have a power booster that can output at least 2.5A
The adafruit says it has 2A capabilities
That's a very optimistic expectation.
No it does not the 1000 in the title means 1000mA = 1A
